Our exclusive gardening Martha Caroler is carrying a miniature version of the watering can along with a bouquet of pink flowers from her plentiful garden.
Washington's had a keen interest in gardening and delighted in nurturing rare and exotic plants sent to them worldwide. The gardeners at Mount Vernon were held in high regard and were afforded the best tools and resources, such as French copper "watering pots".
This new Byers' Choice caroler is beautifully dressed in a multicolored cotton dress and blue felt mini cape. Martha is also wearing a mob cap under a large straw hat. In colonial times, this type of cap was worn to keep dust and dirt out of one's hair. This new caroler is an absolute stunner!
